Naruko Onsen-kyo Village is one of the oldest hot springs in Japan with a 1,200-year history. It is home to about 400 sources of hot springs and has nine kinds of water properties among 11 that have been found in Japan. Two kinds of water properties are available at our ryokan.

	"Onuma no Yu" from Our Own Source Sodium hydrocarbonate alkaline springs The water is pale-red-tea color and has a mild texture. It is one of the rare hot springs in Japan where sodium bicarbonate component is found. It is beneficial for alleviating body pains and also good for nurturing beautiful skin, thanks to 232.6 of mg metasilicic acid per liter, a natural moisture component, and is popular among women.
	"Tochiku no Yu" from Public Source Sodium hydrocarbonate alkaline/chloride/sulfate springs This is a transparent alkaline spring water that includes chloride and mirabilite components. As it softens layers of dead skin and removes them and secretions by emulsifying, it helps make the skin clean. It also coats the skin with salty content and the moisture effect continues for a long time.
	Private Open-air Bath in the Garden "Mori no Yu" We have a small, private open-air bath in the hill behind the building. You can enjoy seasonal scenery, such as cherry blossoms, fresh greenery, autumn leaves, and snow. Private use available
	Large Mixed-bathing Bath "Yakushi Sennin Buro" Sodium hydrocarbonate alkaline/chloride/sulfate springs *The bath is open only for women at certain times.
